The Bristol Society for Paranormal Research and Investigation are a group of dedicated amateur paranormal investigators who seek evidence and informative data for the existence or non-existence of the spirit phenomena.

The Bristol Society for Paranormal Research and Investigation, vision, is to become a leading edge paranormal group that offers positive solutions to what seem like impossible situations. Our vision is to create an environment where all members feel valued in their contribution whether through general discussion or professional investigations.

Through our professionalism and high standards of protocol in executing investigations into paranormal activity we will offer legitimate, uncorrupted information supported by our Society's objectives.

To create an environment of a valued membership whereby paranormal discussions are viewed and openly discussed without prejudice or fear.
To scientifically and without prejudice explore the realm of paranormal activity with an emphasis on the topics of, ghosts, haunting, poltergeists and life after death.
To carry out professional investigations through on-site research with the aid of leading edge technology.
To report all findings through our website and the Society's reporting structure.

All paranormal groups vary to the way they conduct and organize their investigations.
At BSPRI we pride ourselves on our conduct and professionalism when organizing and carrying out our investigations.
No two investigations are the same and we ensure that we tailor each event to suit the location as well as listening to the needs and requirements of the site owner/s.
We average one investigation every month which allows adequate time between each one so we can correlate the report, add the research, look through footage and listen to the audio recordings.
Before booking an investigation, we arrange a daytime visit to the location to establish alleged activity by talking to eye witnesses and then decide if the location is worthy of conducting an overnight investigation.
The purpose of the visit is also to establish what areas we have access to, where the alleged activity is said to occur as well as deciding upon what area to set up as base room for the technical team. This will also help us to calculate how many members we will need for the night of the investigation in question.
We always provide a full and detailed investigation report as well as a research report of the history of the property and the surrounding area. We also give a framed certificate to say the property has been investigated by us as well as any footage from the investigation in DVD format.
As well as having Public Liability insurance for 5 million with Event Insurance Services, all our members sign a code of conduct which covers each investigation and we always address any health and safety issues with each individual property as well as carrying out a risk assessment of the location prior to the investigation. We always ask owners permission before publishing the report from the investigation on our main web page. We have had instances where the owners don’t want the location revealed in the public domain so we adhere to those wishes by keeping the report as ‘secret location’, omitting the research and leaving out any photographs that would give away the location.

If you feel you may be interested in having an investigation conducted at your property, please contact me and I will be happy to send you a questionnaire to fill out and arrange a daytime visit.
